So did you all have a meeting and decide this?

I noticed on here that the sellers of LLL.us are all asking for $100 a piece all of a sudden. Did you all get together in chat or in PM's and decide to hike the prices up? This is all within a week or so. Anyone else notice this? I don't see anyone really biting for that price yet though I sold one for $90 last week which was a nice surprise. But now I see some comparable crappy ones for $100. :]

Maybe you could all start hiking up the prices of all the 3 character domains as they are getting fewer and fewer. Just try to find a good 3 character .net or .org or .info to hand reg...

there will of course be a hike when there's demand.

anyway, i think all LLL.us are registered and there could be a demand for it.

NP members won't be doing this together, for what i knew, some other place selll LLL.US for some hundreds too.

They are going up...and will continue to go up....Comparing LLL.us and 3 char.coms ? A whole different market place,The dot US industry stands alone from the tld industry,Supply and demand of LLL.us has gone up weekly for the last month...The future value of LLL.us is going to be awesome imo...3char.com on the other hand...I have sold all i had...The market is only good for them if they have a official meaning imo...be it they are rare indeed,,But not comparable to the future of LLL.US imo...i don't really care if mine sell or not..they are regged until 2009...by then..You will think back on a $100 LLL.US and say...I can't ever believe they sold for that...I remember LLL.com selling for $350 to $400 ,Good acronyms to..in 1999 to 2001... LLL.nets as low as $50 and $60 ....It's your choice to invest...or not invest.

Even crappy letters sell for $100+

Last year, I sold.... PhD, Dev, DAM, OLD, etc. for low $XXX each.

Imagine what letters/acronyms of that quality would sell for today, even reseller-to-reseller.

Heck, I wish I had them back. :'(

*Luckily I still have a few (dozen) similar quality stashed for a rainy day. GO .US!

This is an extrodinary price hike between reseller to reseller. Frankly put, most people in America are not even aware of such an extention called the .us .

No end users= All speculation.

Oh I know they will go up, they ALL do. It just seems to be a huge spike because I've been watching them the past few months and the sellers on this forum went from selling them at $60 right up $100 in a FEW WEEKS.

I wasn't comparing LLL.us to 3 character domains. I was making a suggestion.

Wow DB! I am sorry to hear you let those go...but I am sure you have some more lovely ones! :)

They have dropping regularly for the past few months, now the pipeline is drying up, they are getting harder to find and people still want them.

As for most people "not biting" at $100, not true, I just offered someone $20,000 for a collection of 168 LLL.us, and I don't think they're going to take it :(

Let me put my economics degree to work and tell you that you have it backward. The cause of this spike is not that the sellers suddenly decided to raise their prices; it's that buyers suddenly started paying more for LLL.us. (Suppliers can't unilaterally raise prices successfully, unless their product is a real necessity.)

I sold a couple LLL.us earlier this month for about $70, which is all I was offered, but now I get $100 offers easily. The real question is, why are buyers suddenly offering more?

Cheers,
Dave

This is why I'm getting in early on LLL.in while there's still good letter combinations left. A billion people or so, rapidly rising standard of living and a lot of them speak English. Perhaps it's just money down the drain only time will tell, but I'd rather waste a few bucks than miss yet another boat...

its said that the pazza had some of thoses majic mushroom sauce that the real secrete ingredient that helped raised the prices

namepros members rule!!! the domain space we can create havoc with our circle of members and decide to hike anything up what we choose,,, an electic centifuge like oil execs , its said that this cicle of namepros members have no mercy for lowballers have no sympathhy for poor college students and outraggeously dangerous on motercyles........
namepros dominates the world with their domains like a leather mistress domainates her slaves....................

They could fall the prices no :alien: and the hype :yell: when its too loud one must be careful :xf.love:

There are a couple bulk buyers collecting them right now. A couple months ago I sold a package of almost 80 LLL.us domains in one deal. I've seen that same buyer has purchased a whole lot of them from others as well, as I see his whois on lots of others. I think ones the .infos become in even shorter supply, we'll see some inflation in the .biz TLA's as well.

I haven't seen hardly any .biz for sale. On Ebay there's been just a couple...which I was outbid on!

I have scanned LLL.us and sorted by email address many times to make offers to potential sellers.

There are at least 3 owners that have more than 2,000 LLL.us domains each. IMHO they deserve every penny they will make on these domains ~15k in unwanted domains in 2002-2004 and then renewing them since then takes a lot of faith in the investment.

I wasn't into domains back then and .MOBI are reserving all 3 letter domains not taken by trademark owners as "premium names", wonder if I'll ever get in on a major extension landrush.

Here's to .US, rah rah.
