if i purchase a domain under snapnames, wat registrar will it go under? is snapnames its own registrar like Godaddy and moniker? i am a bit confused since when i check the domain being auctioned it has registrars that i have never heard of?? thanks in advance

They have quite a few registrars working for them.
Also expired names know as prerelease names may come from registrars like Moniker. For the dropping domains, nobody knows in advance which registrar will catch them. But at least snapnames is trying to keep management simple, they have a single management interface for most of their caught domains.

with that said if i win a domain in auction i have to register with the registrar the name is undeR?? ? or do i have any other options?

i tried to register at snapnames but i received a mail requesting that the domains to sell had to be registered at moniker, is this right?

You can't choose the registrar. But you can transfer away to another registrar after 60 days.
