Snapnames pre-release auctions question

I was the high bidder on a certain domain in a SnapNames pre-release auction. I placed my bid about 5 hours before the bidding deadline. This all happened two days ago.

I never received an e-mail notification from SnapNames telling me I won the name or a private auction has begin. I checked my SN control panel today and the status of the domain simply reads "Backorder".

I'm not really sure whether this occurred because the original domain owner renewed the name, or for some other reason. When I query the name on Moniker, the domain's expiration date in the whois data reads 9/7/2009, but the DomainPeople.com-specific extended data displays 9/7/2008 as the expiration date. Does anyone know what's going on?

Just to be safe, check to see if the domain is at NameJet.com in the Pre-Release as well.

Like you said, the domain could of been renewed as well. The best thing would be to hear from the horses mouth. SnapNames.
