Instead of adding more registrars to remain competetive (against DropCatch dot com), as a way to add more bidders pre-ordering pendingdelete domains everywhere including DropCatch, they added a cool "Best of The Drop" section right on the first page. It appears that this section is composed of pendingdelete domains already pre-ordered with SnapNames by their loyal customers (at least, I've seen domains we pre-ordered with SnapNames for Today-Monday-Tuesday being disclisosed by SnapNames on their 1st page)

Of course, due to DropCatch activation of 300 more registrars, SnapNames wants more money as they now catch less domains and receive less $$$. But, is it a right way to do so? With this "innovative" section published by SnapNames, more domains will be ordered ELSEWHERE by those who are lazy or are unable to compose their own wishlists, but prefer to capitalize on a work of others. So, SnapNames will now catch less and make less money....

I'm surprised you use Snapnames in the first place. I guess you are new or perhaps you don't know of their past troubles. Here, read this then give them some more of your hard-earned money:

Oh, and one more thing. "Innovative" truly describes a method of separating you from your money.

till recently they thought their army of registrars is doing just fine with the success rate. now they will have to pay some more cash for new registrars to be able to compete.
And let the money flow to ICANN

SnapNames have spoiled their brand image.

I haven't caught drops in a while - but when I was (about 2 years ago?) SnapNames was the best... it caught the most names I wanted (and I basically bid on the same drops via all the drop services). And SnapNames won the most. Now perhaps things have changed over the past 24 months? But they certainly didn't suck a while back.

They've gone from the big boy on the block, to a relative lightweight since DropCatch added all those registrars. I think you will see them move to the public auction model this year, when they see that it is a competitive advantage for DropCatch (generates more revenue for them).
