Snapnames - Aargh!

Aargh! Just spent too much time going in circles over at Snapnames, trying to edit my DNS. I had previously thought I had done this- I had added Sedo DNS, but it didn't move into default position and for the life of me, I can't find any way on the site to change DNS-, and nothing in their help directory on the subject. This is really irritating! Have attached a screen shot of boxes that allow you to enter new DNS, but when you submit, the Snapnames nameservers stay in default position and nothing changes.

My B/O names w/ them are currently a ppc style directory page, which I never knowingly gave them rights for: idf.info It may have been in the fine print when I logged into their new site and had to accept their terms terms to view ny account , but this is really B/S on their part, IMHO.

I was also starled to see that I had accepted Network Solutions terms who they are partnered with. (see 2nd att.) I am praying that this does not mean that I have to deal w/ NetSol in the management of my names. Double Aargh!

Hmm. Atts didn't show up. Aren't tiff's valid file exts? Al B Bock

Aargh! Why didn't I think of that. Must be my inherrant cheapness.
I am on my way to registrar of choice to do the bloody deed. IMG
Tx 4 being there.

oops spoke too soon.

I just rechecked my whois and they've listed a *badly*, (like 2yrs) out of date email address, *and* my old residence, and, yet, these details were changed in my Snapnames portfolio long ago. (I have been receiving their emails at correct email addr for 2 yrs). Looks like more probs ahead w/ invalid email. aargh!

That's it. I have 2 credits left a Gddy will use them and I'm out of the B/O game. Pool, Snapnames, Partners et al, just create way too many managerial problems- nightmare after nightmare- I have enough good names that need management/dev already. ByeBye Pool, Snapnames and, obscure, little, pain in the a~~ registrars. After I clean up al of the crap you have dropped at my door and straighten out your messes, I am cancelling my subscription. :bah:

BTW, this nameserver look familiar to anyone?

Agree 100% ~

It is Rediculous With all the Problems you go Through. I'm not much on the Idea of Paying someone to tell me what Hoops to jump through to please them either. The first and only time I used the New system(s) , I knew I'd rather contact folks (Hopefully) Before the domains Even get to those guys. If you want a particular Domain - Approach the owner before it Expires.

I Wish nothing but Luck to those of you with the Patience to do it ! :)

I hear you. I wish they would be more selective in their partners. It's probably easier to break somebody out of prison than to get your domain away from some of these funky registrars they use.

Good luck Grrilla.

I second that.
I started transfering names out of my 30 or so little "miscellaneous" registrars at the beginning of the year and I am still working on prying out half my names from half of these p~sants today, 2 mos later. From lousy interfaces that intentionally hide what you are looking for, to unanswered emails and phonecalls, to sites that don't resolve, to no sites at all. This has been such a drag and it lingers on. I hate dealing w/ this s~~t, but i've made my investment and if I don't keep on keepin on, I'll know I'll get screwed, one way or another. Can't wait tp get to the other side of this and get my names under my control. That's what ownership of rights means, right?
