Hi everyone.

Just picked up this domain, someone let it drop. I know it's probably not worth that much but maybe worth a bit to the end user or company looking for a brandable domain.

I think it's brandable and good for an ecom site for kids toys, clothing or game site. What do you think?

Please appraise and also if possible some ideas for development.

Thanks a bunch :)

Well...According to this http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=meaning of smizle
"
Smizle is a nickname of someone really awesome. It was originated from lexysmiz, the last 3 letters plus the first 2 letters. It was created by David Ojo.
Meaning of smizle :Bola adeola is an example of smizle. I am smizle. Smizle is my nickname
#cute #small #pretty #nice #beautiful #lovely
"

BUT...What I'm thinking of developing it into is like a fun ecom site that sells either kids toys or stationary for kids. Also thought about pet related products. And then there is gaming/arcade site.

Smizle Pets
Smizle Kids
Smizle Arcade

It's short, sweet and I think it's brandable.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
For some reason I like Smizle Pets more? Not sure why, maybe because I know how passionate people are about their pets and will spend money on them...
But then again, same goes for kids :P

I have a 12 year old daughter and she thinks pets also. There is a shop in Australia called Smiggle which sells cool kids stationary. Kids absolutely love it!

If you are trying to go for sentiment business, then pets sound cute; but not much traffics there in terms of revenues.

Ohh, I thought pets would be a huge money maker?
Dogs and cat products I thought would be massive.

The development in these words requires a lot of money

Yes I agree. I can develop the site myself and get everything up and running within a day or two. BUT, it's the marketing/advertising that will be the killer.

To create a brand will take a lot of money and time.

What are your thoughts on value without developing?

It's a nice brand-able domain name, rings well, passed the radio test. It could be for a company selling cookware (as in sizzle). Worth anywhere between $500 to $1500 in my opinion.

It's a brandable, so value is quite specifically what the end user's budget is who likes it. As is with most domain names, but more so with brandables. As such it's hard to evaluate.

I like it, I could see it on something pretty mainstream. But generally these things take a long time to sell as your buyer pool is limited and there are no keywords for searches to reveal it to a buyer. Personally, I would put it on the marketplaces with "make offer" like Sedo, Afternic, Godaddy etc, and plan to leave it there for at least 5 years and consider any offers carefully.
And make sure to choose "brandable" category where possible.

Good luck

Thank you so much for your input and appraisal. I didn't even think of the cookware/sizzle approach. Very cool!

Yes, that's what I thought as well. I submitted it to brandbucket.com but it got rejected. I love developing sites but I really am tossing up if I should develop this one or just do like you said and throw it on Sedo or a marketplace and wait for offers. Never know, some company might be looking for a name like this and pay a nice price for it ;)

Thanks heaps for you comment and advice.
