Pretty neat pickup. It's a little too focused for general basketball site. Without the "s", ReverseLayup.com would be a catchy, brandable name. With the "s", I would just expect to see a site with videos of cool layups. "Reverse Layups" IS a generic term, but last time I checked, the NBA wasn't holding reverse layup contests.

What are your plans?

thanks for the response

I really do not have any plans. I was thinking of a basketball site where users could submit videos of their moves and they could be watched or just a basketball forum or any other ideas that pop into my mind. Any idea on what it is worth.

Unfortunately I dont see any value beyond your registration fee. The plural does infact hurt this particular domain name. Its a very niche domain name - meaning it focuses perhaps too much on a specific factor. Take for example football. If you wanted you could buy ReversePitch.com - which is an actual football play. The problem is, who is going to be looking for that one? Try to come out from under the magnifying glass just a little.

Also consider the commercial potentials of this site. Are there any? There might be some, but they are stretching it I do believe.

Would be a cool site to learn from so find someone qualified to demonstrate or teach reverse layups on video and in writing. It would increase the value of the name providing the information was good and laid out just right on the site.

I'd say it'd depend on if you find the right buyer. If you do, $15...sure. But a little too many bumps in two days ;).

Agree. You'll see that if you push too hard to get appraisals, it might not affect you for the first couple of times, but after a while, the people with really valuable opinions will remember your name and just ignore you. The name is registered for at least a year, so you have a minimum of a year to sell it. I like to keep a list of names I've asked for appraisals on and go back to the threads a month later to ask for more opinions. It's always interesting to see the difference 1 month can make.

Very Sorry about that. I just really wanted to know how much it is worth. I guess I need to learn to have more patience. Again I am sorry if I annoyed anyone. Thanks very much for the advice jnadel and regfee I appreciate it.
