Are you guys getting like me? Since buying and using me.tv tools, sites without video is very boring to even scroll through. Unless i'm shopping or doing bank business, I dont stay on a non-video site like i use to.

Would to rather READ about birdwatching or SEE video of birdwatching?

Yes

Seems to be just the latest craze. With the.tv extension, it matches perfectly. As you said, unless you are doing banking, stock, or something which is "serious", I think you will always see videos now.

I think i have the opposite view here as i hardly ever watch a video on a website apart from when somebody sends me a link to something which may concern me.

Although i really like the look, design, excitement and so on from the new wave of websites with plenty of video content i just dont have an interest in sitting watching video after video.

Maybe when the sites have a wider range of content and high quality sports footage then i will watch video online much more but until then i gloss over the video and go for the content.

I guess we all have different browing habits and reasons for being online and mine is mainly business so watching videos arent really what im looking for.

Thanks for response. What I'm saying is, place a text and picture site on a subject, say snakes, put a site with video about snakes and a site with text and pics before kids and teenagers---guess which one they would choose. They are the the future and they love VIDEO-Period!

I agree with Mckennaronnie. Video on the internet still has a long way to go. Creating videos worth watching is the hard part -- right now, a financially-viable workflow is just not accessible for the small-to-mid-size business. Due to those constraints, I would expect the internet to move toward 3d interaction and self-assembling interactive visuals -- rather than old-school "tape it and play it" video. Still .tv relevant though, so this is not an attack on the cctld.

Whether kids like video is irrelevant kids also like eating dirt and playing in the mud. Video needs to be quality and unique 100,000 mini you tubes is the definition of boring IMO period
