.tv Single dictionary word with TV ext... Valuable?

Keyword with over 18,000 OVT rating. Does the .tv extenion hurt it's value?

There are a lot of keywords with decent OVT scores but not applicable to the .tv extension.

If you wish you could PM me the keyword in question and i could give you a better opinion.
As of now i really have no idea if it's worth for you or not.

Sorry... I guess I was trying to get a general thought on any TV domain but as you pointed out, some would fair better than others I suspect.

Now, I know this is an adult domain but it is relevant to the .tv dicussion we are having. Is this site MORE relevant to the .tv extention making it therefore more valuable?

Or, are you saying that domains such as TheHistoryChannel.TV is more relevant and valuable?

Or... is it simply something you might watch on TV like "WhatsOn.TV"

Sorry to keep asking but a $35 dollar shot in the dark can get expensive if you keep experimenting.

I don't understand... placebo has over 191K and 258 WITH ext. Seems like a good buy in my book. Ought to get some good traffic there. Of course, if you paid a zillion for it... well... then...

Who knows...a Bill Gates might really want your domains and you'll have the last laugh.

The problem with "domaining" as a speculator though is "risk". The key is to minimize your risk when regging by continuously going back to the principles of .tv 101. There is as much .tv 101 on this forum as anywhere - you've just got to take the time to read it.

GoPC, I don't think it’s the reg of the century but see above. Yes .TV is an expensive TLD and we've all felt the addictive pull of .tv. This has led to a number of us regging when we shouldn't have. However it is that same addictive pull which you have felt that should ensure a bright future for .tv as corporations feel it and embrace the branding that a .tv domain can provide.

Depending on the amount of profit you are looking for it has potential to find it's way to an end-user.
Maybe Hustler is interested ...i mean there are plans to integrate Youtube with regular tv channels so internet video content that can be viewed through your tv set is on it's way

Just to catch up on a few meandering posts in this thread:

Affair.tv - I like it, just think of it, allowing the victims of cheaters to post videos of their cheating spouses as they come and go from a "friend's" house.... I suppose it could be controversial, but controversy often means mega traffic surges, so hmmm. You would probably need to find a wife or two to help you get started, and video tape for them. You would need to be very careful regarding the legality of it all, though. Still, by serving up a few example videos, perhaps you could find a buyer?

TeenHardcore.tv - a common term, and very relevant to the extension. With one possible exception, I have stayed away from regging porno names, but sex IS one of the top money movers on the web, so you will find an audience online. Errr, okay, hopefully not YOU having to provide the demo videos, hehe, that goes slightly beyond domain addiction, even!

Placebo.tv - Hmmm, Birthing videos? Or perhaps a business incubator site, with videos on business startups, accounting software reviews, work at home opportunities? Not an easy leap, but still possible with the correct marketing. Main thing is that the traffic would not necessarily match up with the focus f the site. Might take some work to make the site profitable, but I do not think it is out of reach. There are, perhaps, easier domains to pick up, IMO, but there are worse, as well.

As a final thought, I've mentioned this before, and I will reiterate it here, domains like 'thehistorychannel.tv' or 'sex.tv' are no-brainers, obvious winners in this extension. They hold value from the getgo. Domains like "chainsaw.tv" may be of value, but it will be much more of a reach. Still, there will, at some point, be videos introduced for specific products, and who is to say that "chainsaw.tv" won't become a popular site for woodworkers to go to to view chain saw product demos before they spring for some $300 item online?

Birthig related... Not Placebo methinks. Placenta is close. Afterbirth is "Placenta" (or however it's spelled). I've had alot of experience with this what with popping out a kid roughly once a year over the past 4 years. LOL!
