Signing up for PayPal?

I'm now 18 and only have a savings account. Paypal requires a bank account I believe. Could I use my savings account to sign up? And I don't think I can get a credit card or checking account unless it's free. I just want an account that I can deposit paypal money, I don't think I need to write a check anytime soon.

I'm currently using the brothers paypal, but that he's spending my hard earn money! So any ideas?

I use my (UK) savings account with Paypal.

The only thing is, unlike using a credit card, it will take a few days for someone to get money funded from a bank account.

No it won't, Instant transfers from bank accounts as well, that is almost always how I fund my paypal transactions, and they are always instant.

You can fund your PayPal acct with your checking or savings acct and it takes a few days. However, purchases made with PayPal will fund instantly from your bank account (if needed).

You can use your bank debit card to fund your PayPal acct as well.

If you put money in your account from your bank, it will take 3-4 Business days. But if you don't have any money in your account, you can still send money and it will instantly take the money from your account.

One thing to watch out for is your bank fees, if I withdraw 3 or more times each month I get hit with a $4 fee everytime I withdraw 3 times.

i use my mothers paypal, so ti is all hooked up to credit card n bank account

Ehh.. it's a bit different for me. It usually takes one to two weeks for me. Maybe because of my location though.

i use a debit card for my paypal..though i state in the address that i live in japan coz there's no listing for the philippines on paypal. and i only need to use paypal to pay some online services...but a debit card is the account i use.

I don't think there's a problem with savings account, but your bank might charge you fee per transaction, so be careful.

If you live in the US, a lot of Credit Cards are free - No fees whatsoever unless you don't pay on time.

Is your debit card from a bank in the Philippines? How's that possible?
