Contest Title: Signature Banner - $30.00
Prize / Delivery Method: $30 via Paypal
Website: http://www.bignutsracing.com
Duration Of Contest: 2 Days (22 June 2006)
Banner Size: No larger than 400 x 125

..::Please Protect Yourself and Watermark All Images::..

Good day everyone, I am sure this will be an easy competition for our creative and skilled graphic designers. What I need is a signature banner. The theme of the banner should match the theme of our site www.bignutsracing.com. Being that the banner will be used on that site, keep the color pallet in mind. I would like the banner to be very clean yet stylish.

I need the file as a psd done in layers. The reason for this is I will need to be able to edit the text to the appropriate staff members name. With that said, I will also required any fonts be sent with the file.

The banner should have the website url ( www.bignutsracing.com ) should indicate "Staff Member", a place for their name (use compindustries for now) and you are also free to use the logo in the design.

I look forward to seeing some submissions, best of luck all!

Looks good...I think I did like it with the two colors, just wanted more of a transition area. But I like that one as well :)

Hmmm I like this idea as well...the reflections are pretty cool!

Now sure about that font though...have any others that may work better?

Ahhh man, now that looks pretty cool too!
The staff member portion is a tad hard to read, but overall it looks pretty cool.

I am impressed everyone...for taking on a project with not a lot of information to go off of, you have done an amazing job!!

Hmmm well it appears that those transparent banners do not work properly on all browsers. On my newest version of IE Beta it is fine, however, on my IE6 you get something that looks like this.

Hmm, maybe it's the way i exported the PNG.

try this, it's a high quality transparent gif :)
(i'm almost positive this won't give you any problems)

Hmmm little better...wonder why it does that?

It does work in IE 7 Beta 2 though??

The reason why it does that is because a png especially going with gif overlay, the PNG-24 is mainly for sharp and crisp image thus making the gray part not being transparent.

You have to make it gif or the same color as the forum.

now i'm stumped :(

jpeg's should still give the effect of transparency, because alternating post's on your forum do not change background color's
