I really loved how they had the camera on the external fuel tank. We watched it and could actually see the shoreline of florida. Then, when it broke away from the shuttle, you could see the shuttles boosters turn on and it did a flip so the astronauts could take pictures of the fuel tank it just released.

Yeah they had a good launch but ithink theres a few gliches now with the fuses and the robotic arm.

I just saw some footage on TV that pieces of the shuttle actually fell off while the main gas tanks were released in the atmosphere. The scientist are looking into the problem :(

Well i was at work so i didnt get to see it lift off, but its good to hear that it was successful, now i just hope they can all get home safely without something going completely wrong.

I was also at work, but was able to listen to the launch on the radio, and view pictures at 30 second intervals.

It sounded like a really good, smooth lift off.

Great news! Congrats to NASA and the astronauts for the successful launch after been grounded for more than 2 years. :tu:

I hope thats not a big problem.

I think the shuttle fleet is aging and outdated, perhaps NASA needs to develop brand new and safer space vehicles to replace them in the future.
