discuss show-off-your-hyphen-domain

After searching the NP forum for a while I've decided if there was a thread like this one, it would be pretty old and possibly closed so I decided that Hyphen Domains deserve to be showcased just like the rest of the domains.

Hyphen domains are treated like the red headed stepchild on namepros yet there have been tons of hyphen sales. I think it's time for hyphen hype.

Let me start us off!

All .com domains (reg'd since)
Adult-Websites (2010 - picked up via drop)
airline-prices.com"]Airline-Prices (2001)
Airline-Flight (2001)
Shop-Now (1996)

all for sale, of course!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Own a few dashed short name domains, mainly l-l, n-n and one that I bought cause of the rarity...3--3.com
Really not sure why they appeal to me, maybe it is a mental disorder..lol

Self-Deprecating.com is my only english dashed domain, but I have quite a few german ones :) it seems like the german market isnt too afraid of dashes lol

But how do hyphen domains look in emails? Could be one of the reasons why they are less used. But some places in Europe seem to actually prefer them to non hyphen ones. So their is still a market for them

I don't think they look any worse than they look in the browser bar.

I have someone with a hyphened version of a name I hold the non hyphened. He owns the .net too and thats what he uses for his email because its best not to have an hyphened email address. Thats what I mean that the email thing could be a reason why hyphens are less preferred in some markets
