well it all depends on the end-user buyer

if a person really like the domain or really needs a domain ... they can get it for w.e price they want ... i wouldn't paid that much for the domain above

Perhaps the restless people own the same domain without the dash and want to cover those error type ins.

I would never get dash domain unless I owned the non dash version.

The only dash ones Ihave are some awful ones from my early days of domaining..which wasnt that long ago..

Well I definitely would take dubai-hotels.com

IS 6500 incoming links through some auto link system. Sounds like it. IF so which one. I'd like to get 6500 links to some of my sites/domains.

No auto link system as far as I found out it used to be an online reservation website so it will just be still listed in loads of websites.

heya guys look what the author has to say.

http://www.cyberindian.com/domain-re...mes-hyphen.php

Probably you should be buying Legs-Restless.com to steal some traffic....

Nowdays on the internet everything looks to be gold & silver. Whether its a real gold or just a pure speculation, no one knows until the Bubble. 2.0.

Well curiosity finally made me check out restless legs . com and I had no idea there was such a syndrome/illness. Love that about this biz. you learn something every 10 minutes.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=161100

I thought it had to do with loose women or something. Shame on my dirty mind. Well at least I am proud I didnt rush to check it out.

So now with my new-found perspective I guess it could be worth spending that kind of money -- even though they are going to send a ton of traffic to the non hypen version.

well it depends how common this restless leg thing really is...

I cant think of any mainstream successful site with a hypen... But I am sure most 2-3 word sites own the dash versions as well.

Bump - I know they are not "popular" but it appears they're not worthless going by some previous sales.

Anyone know of any other sales I can add to the list ?

i cant see how hyphen domains get type ins. my family, who in no way know computers, if they type in an address and cant find anything they just go to google rather than trying hyphens.

The opinion about hyphens is very different from area to area. In some countries is it very common to use hyphens in domains. Very often is the domain without the hyphen not even registered (!). Whoever not registering the version without the hyphen is not than common any more because it has resulted in problems with domain squatters.

I wonder if "Great"domains will accept it ??

I fully understand that "most" domainers do not place any value on Hyphen domains but this does'nt mean end users are not willing to pay $x,xxx for them - I just thought that if we all reported any known Hyphen sales it would help evaluate them a bit better.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=161100

I am not suggesting people should go out and reg them

I would have thought that the sale of a "hyphen" domain being regarded as "news" sums it all up nicely

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean ? I think sales ranging from $300 right up to $31,000 is not be be sniffed at even if it is going aginst the grain

Hyphens gives you a pain in the fingers in order to access a domain. I wonder how come people still pay that much for em.
