Should Renewals be same Price

Should registrars and/or Resellers charge different prices for new registrations to the price they charge for transfers and renewals
This question has arisen because as a ,what I thought sound marketing move, chose to market my .info renewals and transfers for exactly the same as the current low price being charged for Registrations .
So was this greeted with much joyous activity and happiness by the domainers here at NamePros.
No , I have been PM'ed and accused of liaring . ""You can't get transfers for Less $BlahBlah "" .
I have just provided evidence to a NPer who PMed me and even visited my supplier's Web-site "To prove I couldn't do it " . I sent him details of my Invoice from supplier proving I actually paid less for some transfers ,than I paid for a new registration.

So my question ,and this is not "Spamming " for business ,because effective from now my retail Price has been set to $10USD not the Previous $2.95 USD
. I will still transfer mine for $2.95 USD ,but the rest of you are on your own.

Registrars offer discounts for you to transfer your names over to them as an enticing effort to gain your business aswell as an effort to increase their registration numbers.

Same goes for renewals in alot of cases. Registrars will give you a break on the price to entice you to renew instead of letting it drop. This also helps with their numbers game.

Yes ,but my buy price is the same for all of their resellers not just me
Plus they offer it at their own retail sites as well
It was not a drop for transfers/renewals ,but across the board reduction in general. The price has always been the same for all three. The accusations of lying has almost bought me to the stage of not continuing my posting's and presence on this board.

I think registrars should make renewals a bit cheaper... Just kind of a discount, just like if you buy a domain in years it cost less per year..
