It`s like a Namescon? If yes, I agree. Let`s try US, EU, Asian locations for Convention

Somehow I missed this thread before. Great idea. I like the tedx style convention idea a lot. Would love to have something like that, EU based. Might be Amsterdam, might be Berlin. Get DAN involved.

I don't care for a monetary gain (live auctions and the sorts) but meeting up would be cool. Acquiring knowledge and get input from like-minded people would be my main objective.

Maybe now is not the ideal timing because of Corona but I definitely wouldn't mind participating and hosting a local (Dutch) convention. Could definitely see this work. Something to keep in mind for sure!

I guess some Np members should step up and get things going.

How many people attend namescon? If you're keeping these kind of things local it should be doable. I mean, you could have multiple of these conventions each year in different kind of regions. Low entry, would be cool.

If I could get DAN and maybe Epik to attend (because of robs Dutch roots ) that would definitely be a great start. Get a speaker from SIDN, that kind of thing I would attend all day.

The German market is hot as well so that's why I mentioned Berlin. Any conference covering those markets would definitely get my interest.

better visit f.e. TNW conference and connect with 20k attendees / end-users $. Keep QR code on your phone and business card

That being said, I bet renting a place would be pretty cheap right now.
