advice Should I reg the .co.uk as a defensive move of my .com?

I am acquiring a .com domain for my business and I wanted to know if it is smart to also register it's .co.uk equivalent? I guess this would be a defensive registration, to protect my brand.

I have not heard much about .co.uk; is it worth anything?
