Should I make membership required?

I'm begining to get the ball rolling on my site, http://www.regfee.info , with my newest blog, available overture w/ ext domain names. Only problem is, when you post names on a forum, people are more likely to donate forum dollars. When you post them on a website, sadly, some people are dishonest, and will just register and leave. While this will still get me traffic, I've set up a paypal donation button in hopes that some people will be kind enough to donate.

So what I would like to know is, do you think I should make the names visible only to (free) registered members, or should I keep it public so the search engines can index it? Or maybe I should keep it public until it gets real popular and then make membership required.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Keep it public.

I would also say keep it public... at least for the time being. If after a while you are more popular and choose to make it a membership site you can always do so. Best of luck in your new venture.

public! people are lazy and would just forget about it if they have to put with registration :(

Let it be public. But you see there are a lot of people who are really lethargic in registering for an account and hence they quit from that site...!

So be careful in whatever decision you take..!
