Short question on domain names registration

I would like to know can you be ranked on google higher and get more visitors just by having a domain name that spells exactly like a product,place,name etc. without any marketing and no content on website or just parked? Example: If I have a domain name called God.com and people search for god on google will my website will be ranked higher and show in the first page just for having the name without doing any marketing work and anything on the website other then parking?

You sure can -- not necessarily first page, but you may be ranked higher than you otherwise would have been

having a keyword in your domain will help, but there are many many more factors that affect your placement in the serps, and by no means does simply having the keyword put you first.

okay but i don't see the answer to this one question which is what if i forward to another domain will that make any difference?

The answer to this and/or any similar question is, "It depends!"

All SE have different algorithms and all niches have different levels of competitiveness. There are no guarantees, every situation is different. That's it!

An exact word match is only one factor -- and depending all the other factors out there, it may or may not be the tipping point that pushes your name to the top of the heap.

By the way, you'll find there are a million thoughts on this topic. But rest assured, mine is the correct answer!!! :lol:
