Hello guys, I'm just a newbie, then I just come to domain field 4 month ago.

A bit of context: I'm 14 years old and not actively buying yet, this is purely a research and learning exercise for now.

I’m still learning domain investing, and today I continued my GoDaddy Closeout research using a stricter filtering pattern.

The goal was not just to find cheap domains, but to check whether each name has:

- natural word order
- clear commercial use case
- low legal / trademark risk
- realistic resale potential
- live GoDaddy closeout availability
- price that still leaves margin after renewal cost

For this round, I started from ExpiredDomains / GoDaddy Closeout names and filtered for:

- .com only
- no hyphens
- no numbers
- max 2 words where possible
- readable / pronounceable names
- commercial or brand use
- avoid adult / spam / awkward meaning
- live GoDaddy price check

After filtering, these were the three names I kept for deeper review:

1. AnchorKits.com

Current GoDaddy price: $40
Estimated value shown by GoDaddy: $1,565
Searches in past year: 3
Backlinks: 21
Referring domains: 18

Why I liked it:
Anchor Kits sounds like a real product/category name. It could fit marine hardware, outdoor gear, construction kits, or ecommerce product bundles.

Main concern:
The buyer pool may be narrower than a broader SaaS or service name, so I would not overpay.

2. LandscapeInsider.com

Current GoDaddy price: $40
Estimated value shown by GoDaddy: $1,451
Backlinks: 56
Referring domains: 27

Why I liked it:
It sounds like a landscaping industry blog, newsletter, contractor resource, or niche media brand.

Main concern:
It is a content/media style name, so the resale buyer pool may be slower unless someone specifically wants a landscaping publication or lead-gen site.

3. InspiredWebsites.com

Current GoDaddy price: $40
Estimated value shown by GoDaddy: $1,439
Backlinks: 36
Referring domains: 26

Why I liked it:
Clear meaning for a web design inspiration gallery, agency blog, templates site, or design resource.

Main concern:
The phrase is understandable, but maybe a little generic. It may need a motivated buyer rather than obvious direct demand.

My current conclusion:

AnchorKits.com looks like the strongest name from today’s filter.
LandscapeInsider.com is interesting but probably slower.
InspiredWebsites.com is understandable but not urgent.

I’m trying to improve my process, not just ask “is this domain good?”

Any feedback is welcome. I’m especially interested in whether my filtering process is too strict, not strict enough, or missing an important step.

Thanks!

Researching AI Voice / Transcription Auction Domains Today - Feedback Welcome
I am continuing my daily auction research practice, and today I focused on a specific trend:

AI voice / transcription / captioning domains.

The idea was not to look for general closeout names, but to filter names that could potentially fit businesses in areas like:

- AI transcription
- social video transcription
- captions and subtitles
- video accessibility
- call automation
- voice-enabled tools

I started with GoDaddy auction/drop list inventory, then filtered for names that sounded like real products or SaaS businesses. After that, I checked DotDB, Google brand/company results, Wayback history, trademark signals, and NameBio.

The three names that made it to the final research stage were:

1. SocialTranscriber.com

This was the best name from the batch for me.

Potential use case:
A tool that transcribes social videos, creates captions, or helps creators/agencies repurpose TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn video content.

Signals:
- DotDB: exact count 1, active 1
- NameBio: no exact comps found
- Wayback: 16 saves between 2024 and 2025
- Trademark: no exact WIPO result found for SocialTranscriber
- Google showed related social/video transcription services, but no strong exact brand conflict

My view:
This is not a premium name, but it has a clear SaaS use case and fits the AI transcription trend. I would only consider it as a small bid.

Max bid:
$10

Decision:
Small bid / watch

2. ExpertCaptions.com

Potential use case:
Captioning software, AI subtitles, accessibility compliance, video editing workflow.

Signals:
- DotDB: exact count 1, active 1
- NameBio: no exact comps found
- Wayback: 29 saves between 2023 and 2025
- Trademark: no exact WIPO result for ExpertCaptions, but there are related caption/category marks and an “Expert-Caption” software product by PixelTools

My view:
The use case is clear, but the trademark/category overlap makes me less comfortable. I would not chase this.

Max bid:
$8

Decision:
Watch / tiny bid only

3. CallCentersPlus.com

Potential use case:
Call center service, answering service, virtual receptionist, inbound support.

Signals:
- DotDB: exact count 1, active 0
- NameBio: no exact comps found
- Wayback: 97 saves between 2004 and 2025
- Trademark: WIPO showed Canadian CallCentersPlus records, status ended, but Google also shows active similar “Call Center Plus” usage

My view:
Even though the domain has old history and a real business category, the confusion risk is too high for me. It also does not fit the AI voice trend as cleanly as the others.

Max bid:
$0

Decision:
Skip

My final shortlist:

- SocialTranscriber.com - small bid only, max $10
- ExpertCaptions.com - watch/tiny bid only, max $8
- CallCentersPlus.com - skip
