Hello guys, I'm just a newbie, then I just come to domain field 4 month ago.
A bit of context: I'm 14 years old and not actively buying yet, this is purely a research and learning exercise for now.
I’m still learning domain investing, and today I continued my GoDaddy Closeout research using a stricter filtering pattern.
The goal was not just to find cheap domains, but to check whether each name has:
- natural word order
- clear commercial use case
- low legal / trademark risk
- realistic resale potential
- live GoDaddy closeout availability
- price that still leaves margin after renewal cost
For this round, I started from ExpiredDomains / GoDaddy Closeout names and filtered for:
- .com only
- no hyphens
- no numbers
- max 2 words where possible
- readable / pronounceable names
- commercial or brand use
- avoid adult / spam / awkward meaning
- live GoDaddy price check
After filtering, these were the three names I kept for deeper review:
1. AnchorKits.com
Current GoDaddy price: $40
Estimated value shown by GoDaddy: $1,565
Searches in past year: 3
Backlinks: 21
Referring domains: 18
Why I liked it:
Anchor Kits sounds like a real product/category name. It could fit marine hardware, outdoor gear, construction kits, or ecommerce product bundles.
Main concern:
The buyer pool may be narrower than a broader SaaS or service name, so I would not overpay.
2. LandscapeInsider.com
Current GoDaddy price: $40
Estimated value shown by GoDaddy: $1,451
Backlinks: 56
Referring domains: 27
Why I liked it:
It sounds like a landscaping industry blog, newsletter, contractor resource, or niche media brand.
Main concern:
It is a content/media style name, so the resale buyer pool may be slower unless someone specifically wants a landscaping publication or lead-gen site.
3. InspiredWebsites.com
Current GoDaddy price: $40
Estimated value shown by GoDaddy: $1,439
Backlinks: 36
Referring domains: 26
Why I liked it:
Clear meaning for a web design inspiration gallery, agency blog, templates site, or design resource.
Main concern:
The phrase is understandable, but maybe a little generic. It may need a motivated buyer rather than obvious direct demand.
My current conclusion:
AnchorKits.com looks like the strongest name from today’s filter.
LandscapeInsider.com is interesting but probably slower.
InspiredWebsites.com is understandable but not urgent.
I’m trying to improve my process, not just ask “is this domain good?”
Any feedback is welcome. I’m especially interested in whether my filtering process is too strict, not strict enough, or missing an important step.
Thanks!
