I expect everyone's heard about the Seo World Championship ?

A competition to see who can rank best on Google Yahoo and MSN for the keyphrase "globalwarming awareness2007"

It's been going a month, but I only saw it today, typical.

Searching the registrars I found almost all tld's have been registered for both "globalwarmingawareness2007" and "globalwarming-awareness2007"

So, I thought I'd have a go and registered a site today, and made a start.

Take a look and see what you think about the ajax window and rss feed....
Any suggestions would be most welcome, and of course if you'd like to link with the text "globalwarming awareness2007", that would be even better!

AJAX isn't good for SEO at all, so if you want to have a "fighting chance" then you should dump the AJAX feed and create hardcoded content (or PHP/RSS feed content etc.)..

Take a look at your source code to see what the SE spiders sees.
Not much content there now....

Quite right, thanks, I've just modified the page so that the feed gets inligned . It's in javascript now which I think will get it spidered, but I will look at putting it in a div and moving it...... Just the first steps of course.

Ok changed it again to put the content in a hidden div

Hey, you can still take part, just register a domain and get going.

You can always say later "Well, I would have done much better if I'd heard about it sooner" :hehe:

although it might be better to have the key phrase "globalwarming awareness2007" in the domain name, if you google "globalwarming awareness2007", at the moment thare are 1,350,000 results, but two of the top ten don't have the keyphrase in the domain.
