What is the difference between "SEO Friendly Directories" as oppose to "non-SEO Friendly Directories"?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

The directory is Seo-friendly if i the link to your site is indexed by Google or any other search engine. For Google, i.g. it's important to submit to directories with static, not dynamic pages. If the page is dynamic, your position is changed with every new member appearing on it.

A non SEO friendly directory only gives you traffic, if that, as most directories send no traffic, also non SEO friendly directories use redirects to your site.

A SEO friendly directory gives you, Pagerank (PR), real links that help build up your backlinks, anchor text which help's with ranking higher in the search engines & hopefully give you traffic but as above it may be very little...
