SEO Advice Needed

I'm pretty much a new guy in te SEO field though I've already some decent knowledge and some experience. Nevertheless I need some help from SEO experts.

I've started a blog recently. It's my only blog so I will be updating it regularly (about 1 long quality article per week because I prefer longer informative articles over short useless posts) - so unique quality content shouldn't be an issue. Well of course the blog is only few days old so it isn't even indexed in search engines yet and there are only two posts yet ;)

The blog will be basically a place for my SEO experiments as well as a place to share what I've learned with others.

Currently I'm trying to plan forward and prepare some good SEO strategy - every advice will be appreciated. I have already few pretty competitive keywords for which I'd like to appear on top search result page... but that isn't major problem at the moment.

I'd like if someone more experienced than me took a quick look at my blog and reviewed it from SEO perspective, maybe pointed me in a right perspective.

I am looking to hear any critique of my blog... mainly from On Page SEO view because so far I haven't started Off Page optimization :)

Also do you like the design? It costed me a lot of money (I wanted to have a unique wordpress theme) so I hope it looks professional and is easy on eyes :?

SEO tips

Thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Well I can see that you have already made a post about OnPage SEO on your own blog.

So not understanding it properly that how could we help for your OnPage SEO.

But I think the current one will do. If you yourself are not satisfied with it then maybe someone can give you some suggestions :) On what to change and how much changes :)

Thanks.

Yes Nick I have made a post about On Page SEO basics but I got a feeling that there are more ways and techniques how to improve On Page optimization... maybe I'm missing something important - that's why I'm asking.

I don't know if there is a perfect way. But If it was my blog I will list some changes I would have made myself. [I agree that others might have different ideas]

But this is just my opinion.

1) Title should make it still shorter. [Remove that part about "All about search engine optimization"
2) Rephrase the meta keywords and don't put comma between tips, tricks etc. Only use 3 of them long tail ones. Would be easier to target and will classify your site better.
3) Maybe a short paragraph with keywords being used in sidebar as opening text.

The rest looks good. But you can yet play with your meta description :)

Thanks.

I made few modifications. Shorter title and removed commas from keywords. I will think about some little box in the sidebar with the keywords... that might be a good idea ;)

One big thing you could do for yourself is link the content of your site to interior posts. So in a post you have something about SEDO, then link the words sedo to your sedo info or review page. *As an example

Basically you are leveraging you sites authority and building internal strength.

Also, linking to related authority sites in your niche from your posts could help alot (not with nofollow) this helps associate your site in that circle of links.
