hi guys,

i'm really new at this (two weeks), but i have about 150 one word .com domains, with actual meaning(!).

at first i thought of buliding them and marketing each. every one of them can be a great and unique company or a product name (big bucks).

but now i'm thinking of selling the whole group of domains combained. i dont think this business is for me (dont have the patiance).

can you recommend buyers or a company who would be interested in buying 150 .com domains?

You could just list them in the marketplace and see if there are any takers but I think maybe you rushed into things a bit...

If you have 150 .com domains then chances are they have been ignored by the vast domaining public for good reason..."furazolidones" has meaning to as an antimicrobial drug for the intestines, but buying it would be a bad idea :p

The trick to domaining is to find a domain that actually means something or that is brandable that is true but equally important is that it can be used to direct traffic to buy something.

A random medical word is next to useless for this, however something like mesothelioma would not be.

Proper research takes time and patience :)

you are right.
my research was ant work, i've worked for weeks , for hours every day, before deciding to buy these domains and what to buy.
i belive in them, and the names are great (not names of diseaes :)) , with meanings like "very witty","at leisure", "very neccessary", "kissing", "splendid, rich", "youthful" and more, you know, very postive, one word .com's.

i think each and every one of them will become a great product or company name!

the only thing i'm not sure of is if i'm the guy to sell them each...
:)

I have invested in a number of one-word domains as well. You can hear many of them mentioned on TV.... during the national spelling bee!!!

Seriously, I think they can make a good investment because they are real words, just not ones that are used often, or well ever anymore. But it seems to me that it would be better to use a REAL WORD that already has meaning, and not something awful like "Flickr". Sure, you can brand anything, but why not brand something that already has been used?

I have about 100 1-worders that are parked and some of them are making a little money, but development would be a better idea. I think many would make great domains for blogs.

You may have noticed (or not) some of the advice posted here to new domainers to NOT NOT NOT start buying a lot of domains until you KNOW what you are doing. Having a great idea is not the same as KNOWING. :)

I suspect you have names like mine and I would park or develop them and try to sell some here and there as you have time. Or put up a site as we have with our BandDomainNames.com where you can list them all and hope to find a buyer looking for a specific kind of name. We have sold one name so far from our site for about $300.
