Selling on Sedo - How to start an auction?

Anyone have any tips on selling on Sedo. I think I should be able to start an auction myself by making a bid on one of my names. And parking it there means I won't have to meet the minimum fee charge, just a flat 10% of sale. So if I try name at, say, $100, and no-one buys I'd be out only $10.

This is my research so far. But has anyone tried this? Got any tips? Better ways? Over the years I've built a portfolio of 650 names. I now want to reduce this to maybe 100 or 200 max. Which means I must sell. I've decided to go with Sedo, and maybe try Afternic too. But who can tell me about Sedo first off?

You're already out more than that for just telling us what your plans are.

Back to the question at hand. My tip would be not to bid on your own name.

Mike, that is highly unethical, not to mention prohibited by every auction/sales site. It's called shill bidding. Don't ever attempt it, or you will quickly get your accounts closed everywhere you go, including here. That's my advice.
