Okay, a month later and this situation continues to be a huge hassle.
I already wasted half an hour on the phone with GD support with no luck.
Things seemed ok at first and I got the email from GD that the customer had paid...then things get messed up...
At this stage the customer should have purchased the domain transfer from GD so I could transfer the domain from my name.com account to the customers GD account.
I think they did that (hard to tell as I have gotten zero communication from the buyer)
Now the first strange thing is GD sent ME the transaction ID and Key Code with instruction on how to complete the transfer into my GD account...but Im not trying to transfer to my own account and I didnt request that nor pay for it, it should be going to the customers GD account...furthermore there is nothing in my pending transfers on GD anyways.
So then I forwarded the ID and Key Code from GD plus the authorization code I got from name.com to the customer...twice since nothing seemed to be happening.
Now today I get another email from GD saying the transaction is complete...however the domain is still in my name.com account and I have gotten no confirmation emails.
Oh...and to make things more difficult the name is up for renewal in 2 days, even if I renew now and eat the cost the name will be stuck at name.com for 60 days, Im thinking of just transferring it to my GD account - although that is money lost at least I could get the sale completed.
Any ideas what is happening here?
