Hi !
I wanted to knw how secure it is to buy and sell the domains....
I heard Paypal isnt good if u r a seller as money can be taken back by the buyer...
Is that true ? does it hppn all the time ?
In selling domains you need contact of trusted people, but how will i get contacts when am still new and no one knows me ? :td:

Are there any other methods via WESTERN UNION or Credit Card...a Safe method ! :hehe:

If you have the domain parked at like sedo, they will act as the third party for a 10% commission that is safe and reliable. Commission to be paid by the seller.

Outside of a parked page, I'd also suggest Escrow.com which is also safe and reliable at a much lower commission that can be designated for just the buyer or seller or split between the buyer/seller.

Good Luck!

I've been reading about people referring to escrow.com. A lot of people like to use the site when there is large amount of money involved. What you mentioned about Paypal is that the buyer has the ability to take their money back from your bank even after you gave them your domain or what ever you sold them. They can lie about not getting the material you sold them and Paypal will reverse the payment process even after you deposit your money from Paypal account to your bank account. Just be careful.

if the amount is not very large, paypal or e-gold is ok and enough.
but it may need the escrow/middleman services for selling/buying the expensive domain.

I asked a NamesPro forum moderator which payment system they suggest and was told they could not suggest a specific payment system but the most popular used on this forum is:

1. PayPal
2. Moneybookers
3. E-gold
4. Escrow.com (for larger transactions)

Hope this helps!

I will use Paypal on smaller transactions amount, typically up to several hundred dollars if I am familiar with the buyer, or someone has stellar reputation.

However, I will almost always use Escrow.com for payments over $500 as its a nice security blanket for both the buyer and the seller. Even though payment typically takes 4-5 days as opossed to instant, it was worth it in my opinion for the peace of mind.
