selling a rare domain

First a story...Our organization owns a rare domain since mid-90s. We never got to develop it, and finally decided to put it on the market.

Aside from contacting similar organizations, how would you go about listing the domain / soliciting offers? I don't think Sedo, TDNam and other domain auctions would appropriate as they're designed for pure domain sales.

Any thoughts? Thank you for your advice.

Also if there's already a school...university...etc with the same name with the domain you own you may may contact with them and offer your name to them .
Don't forget the end-user deals are always the best!

Hope that help you!

Hi Uni,

We had a very similar situation in selling Australian domains. Our solution was to provide a complete package including the registered business that was relevant to the domain and a registered office that foreign companies could use in Australia.

Basically, rather than concentrating on just the domain I would say your best bet is to come up with a complete organization package and promote that.

Good luck with it.

All the best.

Richard
