Selling a domain, vs hanging on to it.

hey all-

so, without going into too many particulars (i.e. specific domain names), i've gotten a couple of emails showing interest in a couple of my .us domains.

the domains are just sitting, as i have been too busy to even think of doing anything with them.

the ballpark offers i'm getting are $300-500.

one has over 10k monthly searches, and ppc of around $2.40.
the other has a ppc of $1.40, with over 40k monthly searches.
both are valued at over $700 on estibot, and all other tld's are taken.

so, what would the experienced members here be inclined to do?
would it be a better idea to try to develop to earn ppc (even if i have to hire someone to develop)?

i do like being offered money for things i have just laying around, but i hate to get rid of something that could make me even more than the offered amount with a bit of effort (or investment).

anyway, any input that keeps this noob from shooting himself in the foot is greatly appreciated.

thanx-
michael

Selling a domain for a profit, especially one that is just collecting dust and not earning revenue, is rarely a bad decision.

Developing them and earning ongoing passive income is also a good decision.

I would suggest selling one and using those proceeds to develop the other ones.

if it's anything other than .com, I'd sell. Those keyword searches, etc, are good for .coms as .com can easily go on top of the seach engines for the exact term or have typeins, but search engines don't like the other tlds as much.
