Just a search of nightly news for me, but I see just a lot of tv domains being picked up based on "fads". Nice to see, especially since the net, info, and mobi, and biz weren't even touched yet.

Interesting if you ask me. Not conclusive, but I find it highly interesting that the other extensions weren't bought yet.

Interesting you mention word tv.com vs world.tv

I am seeing a lot of keywords in .com phrase above

I been doing this past 6 weeks and curious how seo pick them up.

I would expect that for any name with the word "vidoes" in it, .tv would be a natural second choice after .com.

perhaps the registrant chose .tv so that they could use the free social networking tools provided by ChannelME.tv

while we didn't buy the domain above, we did buy: GuitarHeroes.TV to use as an aggregator FAN CLUB type site similar to the other FAN sites we've built using .TV - Our Guitar Hero site is not online yet, but the other fan sites we've built are doing quite well considering the minimal time/expense involved in building/maintaining at the early stage. When we start to run tournaments/contest, then we'll ramp up our efforts.

and we've noticed the same things you have: a domain registered in .TV but not .com - we've been guilty of it too I'm afraid. LOL.
