Hi All,

How much does SEDO charge upon a sale? It says that 10% of the sale but minimum $50? Say I get an offer of $140, will $14 be deducted or $50?

Thanks.

10% so long as it's parked at Sedo -- else it's the greater of $50 or 10% on most extensions. Full details here: Sedo - Our Price List - Sedo.com

Hi RaviUTA,

It depends on several things, but if the domains are parked at Sedo, you only pay the 10 %. Also the type .com ect, some TLD are more, look at the TOS it is quite clear on charges, co2.

I think the name servers have to be in effect for the previous 30 days before the sale.

But check with your Sedo rep on that.

If I have them parked on Sedo but through Forward instead of changing the name servers, is it the same effect on pricing?

That used to be the rule, but there is no 30-day requirement any more. I called them several months ago to verify that. All you have to do is change the name servers or forward the domain to Sedo's parking before accepting the offer, and you won't be subject to the $50 min.

One more question guys. I won this name 4 days back in an auction and I got an offer for it already on Sedo. Can I sell it? I heard there's some 60 days rule that the name cannot be transferred and all since registration time. Dunno how that works exactly. The name's registered with Enom.

Thanks.

The 60-day rule is to transfer to another registrar, not for pushes between accounts at the same registrar. The good thing about Sedo is they have accounts at pretty much every registrar. I think eNom will let you push to another account if it has been in yours for 7 days (unless they changed it recently).

Great thread, thanks answered most my q's on this subject. However, I have one more. Let's say your domain is not parked at sedo and someone purchases a domain using the fixed price option.. Now are you locked into that commission percentage?

Thanks in advance!
