Should we have a section called "Push to Auction" where the Seller listed the name at Sedo and the Buyer makes an offer so the Seller can "push to auction".

I thought I remember seeing something like this in the past?

I seem to recall something like that. Not sure if it was here or at a different forum though. Pretty sure I bought a couple that way, but never sold one like that.

PushToAuction.com was a site that did this back in the day. Think it was like 2008.

I just did one of these transactions. A straight forward domain purchase. I had a faulty transfer code, AND it was not clear which payment method I was supposed to use for my USD debit card to make the payment (I don't live in the US). I only had 2 choices, neither seemed appropriate. This was the second time within a month I had to use this method of payment.

Sedo communications were tought. No weekends and 2 days minimum replies. And replies didn't always answer the questions asked. It was a nightmare. Took about 2 weeks to get the domain transferred.

It definitely would not be my first option of paying for a transfer.

I think if somebody want's to use it. They should be able to use it. I'm just not a fan of Sedo, except as a last resort.

If we had a dedicated thread for it, do you think that would be sufficient?

We can try. Rules apply to external auction also.
Name, Registrar Expiration date. Payment will be take care by Sedo
If they bid and win, they have to pay for the name or rules will also apply as non payment buyer here.

Could you create the thread and link it here?

Then we can pin it and promote it. :)
