I seen somewhere that there were going to be auctions now on Sedo.com.
Has anyone else seen this? Can I get a link to that?

I think it was announced by Mara in Indusrty news section but I can't find that link - basically it is supposed to start this month. :) Looking forward to seeing that happen.

Here's two other related links about it

I'll post the other one if I can find it.

That's a nice news.
How to join the auction?
Is there a listing fee?

Regarding joining the auctions: Read the related links provided by Gazzip and/or picture 3 and 4 in my post.

There's no auction listing fee.

Looks like the seller pays only 3% on the sale of the domain. That's great. I sold a couple domains on afternic for around $100 each, but only got $40 for each sale minus reg. fees, I ended up with $33. ouch.

Way to go Sedo. Thanks for making domain sales easy and affordable.

Sellers will have the option to start a Marketplace Auction through the domain's negotiation page within their account. Auctions can be started up to five days after a buyer has submitted an offer and close seven days after that offer was submitted. If your domain does not receive additional bids during the auction period the buyer's initial offer is still binding and wins the auction.

Someone have to bid the domain before we can sale it through Sedo Auctions?

I would prefer to see the # of bids and bid amounts, as eBay does. I don't see that in the pictures.

There should also be an option by seller to use a longer duration, as domains are not like commodities, each being unique, and takes longer to gain exposure and interest than consumer items. Most people mull over big ticket items, which domains are. Even commodities like cars take many hours of for most people to decide. For domains in the 3-, 4- or 5-digit price category, and given the much smaller buyer population, more time should be allowed for auctions at the option of the seller.

Is it true that the only way to get your name listed at auction is if your name either would have had to have gotten at least one bid, or is designated, as "premium"?

Anyone?

This looks like a launch offer that ends on the 24th of October. If you want to take advantage of this, you better hurry as there is only a few days.
