Well....I noticed that my sedo seller activity went from nearly full to nothing. After having a few back and forths with a support person incapable of replying in a way that made sense, I received a reply that at least explained it, although it makes little sense and seems like an error.

Support stated that activity index is based on rolling 12 months, but starts over in January.

"Please be informed that the Activity Indexes are calculated on a rolling 12 month basis. So as it is January, these have been reset to no bars."

Wouldn't it make more sense to have it based on previous 12 months?

thanks for that.... i had wondered about that too, and not just this month haha.... have had several transactions, both as buyer and seller, and wondered why it did not seem to reflect this on the occasions i actually bothered to "notice" my own buyer/seller activity level. i always assumed it was a glitch, or due to some weird sedo reason or upgrade... never thought they actually RESET buyer/seller stats every year! i would see more sense in maintaining the image of an ACTIVE marketplace, and let peoples activity level rollover each year and reflect their cumulative actions as buyer and seller.....

In November, the activity level disappeared and went to nothing. At that time, I submitted a ticket and Ian from sedo support stated it was indeed a glitch, reported it and it was fixed. So I assumed that was the case again. But then was told it resets in January.

To me at least previous 12 months should be considered.

Yes, Sedo resets it if there are no sales on the account within a 12 month period from the time of the last sale. Or if their is a smaller sale, they change the "level" of activity down to fewer bars.

But it has always been like that-from my experience. The activity index shows activity for the last 12 months.

But that is not what is happening now. They made all levels zero in January. My account shows I had 33 sales in the last 12 months.

Indeed... just noticed the buyer/seller index on my account has been reset.

Maybe they've changed it to the year at hand, i.e. 2015...

I noticed my "activity" was back to full yellow bars this am. So I followed up with the last support person at sedo that I corresponded with.

Now they state that it was indeed a bug...that is now fixed.....again.

Not a fan of anonymous offer systems but if it has to go down that way...

As a seller I would actually prefer mine being low as then it shows you aren't a flipper and initial offers are generally higher. My last 2 offers in the last week started at 1100 and 1600. If my rating was high might have been 60 or 100 initial offers.

As a buyer I'd prefer it be high so looks like a domainer buying and not an end user.
