Dear Pikachu

We are writing to inform you that Sedo has received notice through Microsofts Typo-Patrol of potential trademark infringement regarding the registration and use of the following domain names in conjunction with Sedo services. Microsoft created the MSN/Strider URL Tracer with Typo-Patrol to search for and record typo variations of domain names. A report containing such typo-domains based in Sedos marketplace was then submitted to Sedo.com. Your domain was included in Microsofts Typo-Patrol report. Accordingly, Sedo has no choice but to do the following at this time: ]]

- Blocked from our domain marketplace

- Excluded from our parking program

Sedo takes great pains to strike a balance between the legitimate rights of domain owners and third party intellectual property owners and require verification of legal complaints before taking any action against a domain listed for sale or parked with Sedo.

If you have any questions regarding this message, or if you have a legal right to occupy this letter combination, then please contact the Sedo legal department at

[email protected].

I would try to come up with something orignal. Microsoft is unsavory anyway. If you want, I'll help you come up with names.

While, on the surface, it might be a pain to adjust, I think the move away from TM-typos is beneficial for the industry generally -- it will help, rather than hurt, monetization in the long run.

sedo suck !

learning the hard way always sucks. What helps me is that I choose not to think like everyone else and I stay away from naysayers.

SEDO may suck in other areas But they cannot expose themselves to the risk of tm domains PEOPLE will come after them too not just the domain owner

I agree with equity.

I dont think you really have a legitimate reason to complain. You're using their service free of charge... You're registering domains that are TM violations... and they have a every right in the world to protect themselves from being sued... Bitch about their customer service though and I'm on board.

Moved to a more appropriate section -

As Was already stated ... SEDO has liability in this matter as well , Not just the domain owners. If you read the TOS , You'll find that they are covering themselves the best way they know how on this matter.

Well good on 'em :imho: for saving their own ass.

I take risks with TM typos, as do many of us, but you can't expect a legitimate internet business like SEDO to take the same risk! It's one thing to take the risk yourself, but another to expect someone else to.

You and I would probably do the same thing in SEDO's situation, they make enough money without TM'd domains.

I'm having to agree with what SEDO have done, why risk it themselves when they are making loads of $$, however some of your names might have nothing to do with the Microsoft tm and thats just unlucky but :imho: would have done the same as they have.

You can park these domains at ParkItNow.com and they should continue to earn nice revenue.
