Hi guys,

not normally a .tv addict but i couldnt resist grabbing this one. i know there is a .tv forum but i would like some views from the non .tv folk, to say what they feel on this name.

a few tv companies in scotland use .tv as there site, like stv.tv (who are called Scottish TV). Previous owner had it listed for $20,000 on his site

I managed to reg it for $300 for 2 years and $250 for each year after that (was listed at $500 p/a)

Maybe you can take your cue from Scotland.com

and Scottish television and focus on what works best for

the tv media. You can't loose.

Really hard to put a value on it. I have a .tv of a much larger region and have not had a great deal of interest. SoutheastAsia.tv may be longer but obvioulsy has a theoretically thousands of times greater market. However yours may go as high as mid-hi $$$ undeveloped now. When .tv comes into its own? Another story I am sure.

Geo domains are still uncharted territory in terms of comparables for this extension. I would not get so hung up on value at this time. I have had offers for my country.tv from $100 to mid X,XXX in the last couple months (about 6 different offers.) It is worth what you are willing to let it go for. Everyone will have a different min threshold.

Yes it was. I currently have one on Bulgaria right now and have been negotiating for two weeks now Because I have had offers and continue to get them, means it is worth something! Country domains are of value!!

Well, talking about .tv domains...I am a newbie. Started with all this about 15 days or so.. I saw that www.private.tv which was available, and didnt buy it. Checked out tomorrow and it was gone... That was on the 23rd of Oct,. Ref fee was 500$... What a shame.

26 OVT with extension so that helps.. 85k OVT for Scotland w/o ext. Only 57k Google with ext so should be fairly easy to rank well. I'm guessing mid xxxx or so.. maybe more cuz I found out you guys have tv's in Scotland (just kidding). Great TV, especially as you live there..

I have found out STV used to own this name a few years ago before they used stv.tv. dont know why they prefer stv.tv to scotland.tv
