I received this email today:
Dear Sir/Madam
This is a letter to confirm the registration of your company name <<my domain name here without the extention>>, please read it carefully. Our center received an application from Gugou International Ltd and they apply to register <<brand same as your domain>> as their brand name and some top-level domain names. We found the name is same as your used name. I don't know whether or not you have authorized them.
We are dealing with the application and we need to confirm whether you have authorized them? Let me know quickly in order to solve this promptly. Looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards
Eden Xu

I checked the site moip.net.cn. It must be dummy or hacked. It looks like a reseller/registrar site but does not function. I don't know if they hack these sites or just have a dummy template and set sites on various domains. I guess they want to scare you and conveince you that you must send them money. I am almost sure they change the name, telephone and address at every email. And their targets must be out of China.
PS. the target domain name is developed and .pro
