question Sales Question

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to domaining. I have about 50-60 domains of various extensions (com, net, org, xyz, io) but no sales yet (one or two inquiries from potential buyers that never went anywhere). My question pertains to some of the larger sales (over $1000). When I see big sales listed from places like Sedo I was just wondering how often those sites had any content on them vs. just being parked? Does anyone know about this? A lot of times the names don't seem like they would be drawing in much traffic so I'm curious if why they are garnering decent prices at auction.

you can check "web.archive.org" to see if any name sold, was ever a website

but there are various reasons why a name sells for $,$$$ amount and others don't...... and traffic if any or none, may not be a factor.

Most sales that you see reported are for domains without substantial traffic.
