Scenario:

1 - A domain is listed for sale in a forum such as NP.

2 - An offer is received and accepted (PM, email sent indicating acceptance).

3 - In a matter of hours, before any response received from initial offer/buyer, another, higher, offer is received.

Would you consider the initial offer/acceptance binding, and if so, for how long? Or would you take the second, higher offer.

Mods - as I wasn't sure where to place this thread, I placed it here. If I have placed it incorrectly, feel free to move it.

If it has already been agreed, then my strong advice would be to honor that initial acceptance and agreement IMHO. :yell:

You want Trader Rating+/+ on the forums, especially here at #1 Namepros! :gl: :talk:

To me when an offer is accepted a deal is made. But i have had past experience here in NP(the place i love the most) where after i accepted an offer by PM from a Buyer(NPer), still the Buyer backed out of the deal. The Mods decided there was no deal made. I felt a bit let down since i honestly felt the deal was made.

So this is kind of tricky question. Check with the Mods, which is the best i can suggest.

If you agreed to sell to the first offer - you should honor that agreement. Let the second offer know that it is pending sale, but if it falls through you will sell to him at that price. I give it 48 hours atleast before I go down to the next offer.

Thanks for the feedback.
This did not occur on NamePros, but I still want positive feedback to result.
I considered the sale binding, but wanted to see what others might say.
