People said the same thing to me on other forums, so I called an attourney to make sure, and he said there's nothing to be worried about.

I'm selling this because I have no time to get it running

If this is true, that attorney shouldn't be practicing law.

So, your not selling a site? Since this appears to be the case, the thread needs to be moved and changed as not to offer a site for sale.

Also, you posted
Monthly revenue: $110.00
but the "site" is not live. Thus, I think some proof of revenue is in order. :imho:

I agree with you, Skype is a trademark not a generic word. You need eBay Inc. authorization to use it and profit from its popularity. They paid billions for it :alien: Why would someone be allowed to use their brand for ZERO dollar. This is a non-sense.

Lots of people use brand names like Google, eBay, and Yahoo in their domain names. That, in itself, usually isn't a problem so long as you don't defame the company in question or pretend to be associated with them.

In most cases, a simple disclaimer saying that you aren't affiliated with the brand name in any way should be enough to prevent trouble.

Unfortuanlty this isnt true unless you have permisson from the company to use their trademarked name in your domain.

If a name is trademarked then dont use it. Personally myself i wouldnt wish to be the one taking on eBay or any one of the super powers like them. Chances of winning 0.01% im afraid.
