I don't know much about the hypen words but sexs.com seems pretty good. I would love to know what everyone thinks of this purchase.

Hello again. Not a lot again I'm afraid. For one, the hyphens let it down dreadfully and second, it's missing an 'e' in the middle of the word.

I really do hope that you do not waste extraordinary amounts of your hard earn't cash with too many names of low or little inherent value. It's better to research your market first, save your money for much higher quality names later on.

Feel free to pm me first, run your names past me before registering.

I'll do my best to give you a few good names to look for by return.

All the best.

Mark

As I PM'd RWAC, How did I miss an E? sexs.com is worth $100,000 +- according to Estibot and sexes.com is worth $26,000. I know estibot is just a tool and You shouldn't use it for value purposes but this still tells me that I didn't forget an E. Several domains with sexs in the name seem to be getting attention.

The w-o-r-d.com is an interesting thing that I am trying to find more info on (through research etc). I find it very amazing that a large %'age of english words are reg'd. ALso interesting as to who owns some. Also when you put in k-e-y-w-o-r-d into google it doesnt "see" the hyphens so I have picked up some nice keywords for seo purposes just to see (I am told they should do well) if I can make money with a mini site then they should have potential value. I would invest in nice paying keywords if I was going to buy some, but right now it is very speculative. But that being said risk=reward....

good luck, Gary.

"In google it is the same as "sexs". As long as you have ALL letters separated by hyphen it is recognized as a single word.
However if you concatenate more letters you get totally different results up to the last hyphen and after that.
E.g. "s-e-x"="sex"; but "se-x" ="se x", etc." (I got this off another forum
)

So I guess this would be a pretty good name.

These are the estibot results for sexs.

Domain: sexs.com
Keywords (Autodetected) sexs
Frequency (Google) 3300000
in Anchor Text 87800
in Title 41400
in URL 52600
Backlinks 108
Alexa Rank 459175 **
Traffic (uniques) / Day 770**
PPC Ads Score 16
Overture/mo 7189121
Wordtracker/day 398

Not too bad. I deleted the value because s-e-x-s would not be worth $100,000

any other thoughts

sexs.com & s-e-x-s.com are two completely different animals, you're attempting to compare an apple & a pomegranate, yep they are both red but completely different.

yeah, but if someone is searching for sexs. s-e-x-s could be valuable in that capacity. I understand the type-in is not going to happen with completely kills this domain.

If this name isn't any good why do people like hypen words?

people buy "w-o-r-d-s.com" all the time. WHY? I would just like an explanation for understanding what "w-o-r-d.com" is good and isn't good for future registrations.

Sorry, but what in the world is "sexs"? It's not even a word as far as I'm concerned, so why would people search for it? Your SEO logic isn't really valid in this case.

Look at it from another angle, it is a such pain to type - while typing a name, and so many hyphens doesn't really help end users. It looks cheap and spammy as well. Once the end users are out of the game, why would resellers buy the name?

not worth registering such kind of name in my opinion. Although I don't know if it is a hidden seo logic behind this. But i would never develop a serious site on a n-a-m-e.com
