Hi NPs

I just want to ask some question about selling domain. I got a couple of domains in me and I am about to sell them.

First is, what are the process in selling?
-Should the buyer pay me first?
-Should I give the domain first?
-Should I push the domain first?

Second, are there any rules in selling domains?
-What if my domain is a newly registered domains, not more than 60 Days, should my buyer create an account in the same registrar and push it?

Thanks for the responds guys.

I'm new too, but already know that answers as they was my first to ask one or two months ago.
Neither you should give the domain first, nor the buyer should pay you first. When you sell your domains, this is ofter in auctions like sedo, tdnam, bido, ebay... for ebay I'm not sure about selling domains, but in other mentioned there are cooperation by the auctions for the domain transfer. They give you instructions what to do and also to the buyer, and when both of you do what should be done, they complete the bargain.
There are other methods but for newbies like you and me I think this is the best way. The pros can correct me if there is something.
Good luck!

Hi

1. always get paid first

2. if it's newly registered, yes...have the buyer get an account at the same registrar so you can push them the domain, after you have received payment.

3. if selling thru sedo, afternic, moniker or any other domain marketplace, read and follow TOS.

4. imo...

Most of them use an escrow system right? Where u give a 3rd party the money and they hold on to it until the domain is transferred. Are there any negatives about such process? I like the idea when I buy or sell that a trusted 3rd party is involved.

I heard about the escrow third party mediator but I also heard the high fees they take for each deal. So thing is that if the deal include a low amount than seller will get nothing out of it.
