Rollover image

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to make a button rollover with another button with fade effect...

Like button1, onhover it goes to button2 but fades within 2-3 seconds. I know that it's possible to do in flash, but what about javascript or css?

you need to use an animated .gif. i am not sure if it is possible to combine the fade with the rollover. i will work on a script and see what the outcome is. it i can do it without an animated gif, then i will post it here. :D
