Mouseover/Rollover - Frontpage

I want to create a mouseover/rollover on a webpage I'm creating.

Example: A picture (on the side of a page) links to another page, but on the mouseover/rollover I'd like a brief paragraph to appear at the top of the page.

For the life of me, I cannot figure this out. Any ideas?

Depending on how long the paragraph is, save yourself some trouble and make the words a gif and do the rollover. Quality will still be there and wont slow down the loading too much.

Okay, makes sense but what do I do if I have six different rollovers and I want them to appear in the same spot?
