There lots people (40) older than walter, had to look because most of my life when I heard about the oldest person it was usually 116-121 and a women. 114 sounded young LOL. Looks he was the oldest american man.

But there always someone in a country that didnt keep good records then that says there 136 years old.

but i mean its always been that way, no matter how old the worlds oldest person is there always somebody that says there older from a place that didnt keep birth records.

Imagine living in a time when there was no computers, airplane, cell phones, flat screen tv, microwave, cloning, etc. And then seeing all these technologies develop during your life time. Most of these technology were developed within 100 years. That guy definitely saw the time changed over 100 years or so.

Mr. Breuning experienced the most drastic change in technology that anyone has ever seen in their life, not only for his long life, but also for the particular historic period covered.

i remember when these wernt around not that long ago lol

the big one to me was people that remember before airplanes but lived to see a man walk on the moon (plus saw WW2 and WW1). Nothing will ever be like that again in one life span
