I got an offer for the 3 char .NET domain that I bought recently - K7i.net

I e-mailed a company that I thought may be interested in it, but wasn't a huge company at all - very niche. They mailed me back within a few hours, and offered me $150 for this name. Should I accept this offer or decline it? Please help!

Haha, one appraisal is enough to help me make my mind up. Early 2007, CCC.net undeveloped for $150 isn't a bad offer. :p

I think you'd do quite well at $150 to be honest. I'd accept the offer.

90% of "maybe" usage with this kind of offers end with nothing.

If you are happy with $150,- take the offer.
You can use the money to invest in LLLL.com names.

If you have second thoughts, you should Ask $450 and sell it for $250 or $200.

Counter for a little more. $150 is probably not their max...even if it is, they'll negotiate you "down" to their offer.

I think one round of negotiations would be reasonable. I was once offered $100 dollars on a domain and was able to hold out for $4,500. This maybe a small company, but they still have ambitions that they are willing to pay for to realize.

Just do what the wise and cheap Herb Cohen suggests, "Care, but not too much," meaning the best deals are the ones you are willing to let go.

You dont think that $150 is a good offer for K7i.net ?
Please give me decent reasons to ask for more than that !

I think $150 is more than I am willing to pay for K7i.net. To me it's just a .net and nothing special about it so it has really no value, but to the company it could have more than $150.

Just as a rule, I never take the first offer unless I am in a situation where I know I have to. What I'm offering is just a suggestion, defiantly not conservative and definatly not gauranteed.
