Joey Havlock as per the old threads was or is the owner of REX.com but it is up for bids and set to be on auction soon at Namejet.
What happened?:o

Registered by registrar for auction.:notme:

How you figure? The status is: OK the year is next year.

If NJ wanted to sell it would be in registrar-lock (I think)..this whole verisign renewing a year is confusing :)

I think Havlock.com has some decent art - you should check it out. Like the Soupcans and his Cocks.

Did not say status Ok. I said it is still on auction. As you know the expired domain is registered automatically by registrar when going to auction

I have heard that it's possible to list your names for sale on NJ PreRelease.

The domain status is OK. Not commenting on you in that regard :)

My understanding is that the normal flow for ENOM is:

1) Renewal Grace-Period 45 days.

2) Then the Redemption Grace Period of 30 days.

3) Pending Delete

The name hits NJ sometime before the end of 1) as pre-release. The domain is not yet renewed.

The name is auctioned at NJ around 2)

At point 2) the registry automatically renews the domain.

If the auction has a bid then the registrar will renew the domain.

If it has no bid then it will go to Pending delete.

To those people that wait until 2) - NJ has in its contract that it doesn't need to participate in recovering the domain for you.

So participate in this "auction tasting" at your own risk... imho

We may, but are not obligated to, participate in this process, typically called the "Redemption Grace Period" ("RGP"). We may, in our sole discretion, choose not to participate in the RGP process with respect to any or all of your domain name registration services and we shall not be liable therefore.

So I think this name is renewed by owner. As I'm not going to bid I don't really care all that much - other than it would be a shame for that to have happened.

This domain was bought by a domain collector.
This person who bought it knows the drill.:tu:

If renewed as per my experience, it would not still point to NJ.

I sent a couple of emails and left messages at the phone numbers I have from our original transaction to the person that purchased REX.COM from me. No responses. I assume he either does not want to be bothered or maybe something more tragic is about.

Im still not exactly sure what it means that the domain is up for auction on NJ, or what the status of the domain indicates.

I do know that the buyer from me is/was a pretty heavy domain investor with one helluva portfolio and it appears that many of his big ones are still with him.

It will be really interesting to see how this plays out.

Seems like if he no longer wanted the domain that there would be many other ways to deal with it, other than just not renew....who knows, people with resources sometimes do weird things...

I was investigating some of the domains in the list and Copy.com was redirected to a domain printcentral.info
This domain owner has over 60k Domains as per domain tools.
Even this domain printcentral.info is going to expire in June.
It would be a heck of allot of domains to simply expire. Sort of like the famous Comic Book find "MileHigh"

The mystery continues.:alien:

I just hope that won't turn into another Curtis Neeley.

Anyone hear about any updates?

I see that the domain has been redirected away from the pre-release auction, but is still listed.
