Just thought we would place an inquiry to you folks here at NamePros...

Our domain, REX.COM, what are your thoughts, opinions or otherwise about this 3 letter domain as an Acronym for say Real Estate eXchange or Real EXposure as opposed to the dictionary definition as King or to be King, to Domineer. Is one way a stronger marketable brand? Does one make it a more valuable asset to the outside reseller or enduser market?

Obviously there are many other acronyms possible for these letters, but is it easier to refer to the domain as R E X or as just REX?

Anyway, the domain is for sale and taking offers but in the meantime we are continuing to work with the domain for developmental ideas and these are some of the questions we ponder.

Any thoughts or input is appreciated.

I hope this topic is appropriate in this forum, if it is not could a moderator please move it to the correct place.

Thanks much
Joey

Nope, 2 complete bails now who tried to re-negotiate the number after we had an agreement. The name is officially still for sale.

What do you think italiandragon, is it R E X, or is it just REX?

I see....

I associate REX to the famous german police dog TV series :)

Then, it`s also a Company Brand in Italy, they make good Fridges, Kitchen stoves and other stuff for home.

I think dog when I see it.

Not in relation to any particular dog. It's a common dog's name.

So in other words you think REX as opposed to R. E. X.

I think dog sometimes too, my neighbor has a dog named Rex, we call him dot com :)

I think of Rex as a common first name. So many great end user possibilities out there for this one :). Good luck with it.

It's better as a one word domain and spoken as "Rex Dot Com", rather than spelled out as "R-E-X Dot Com". There is a lot of acronym potential there, and just as much or more potential for Rex.com as a unique brand.

well this is definitely a name much more than it is an acronym...

When I see this domain, I first think of an infinitely brandable and useable one-word domain. Acronym is out of the question when assessing its value.

I think of it as a word, though there is potential in it as an acronym also. I have a couple friends named Rex. So I think of them. :)
