Interesting color combinations. There are a few adjustments to be made though. If you're trying to achieve an "art deco" look, by going with the pastel colors, pink, blue, green; the black doesn't match at all and stands opposing to art deco. If you're trying to achieve a modern & crisp look, the art deco pastel colors are not getting you there. 2 adsense bars, right next to one another - even in interrupted "L" shape is a bit too dominant. Try to break them up and position them differently. Of course, you have to make money from somewhere, but there are more subtle ways.

you're catering towards the design and photography group, yet you're not having a logo. Your work is going to be measured by its accuracy but also attractiveness. -> add a gripping logo
Your list is long, your links are also amassing to quite a list. Think about categorizing your content. You have the biggest advantage that can make categorizing a simple thing; the search box to help a user search your site. Utilize the effects and presence of it, it's going to make the site more compact. also, make a category of links you're referring/linking to.

Blog opportunities are great, however, if your site thrives on the blogs, the tab to go blogging needs to be more present, right now it's just hidden on the top right hand side. reposition it and make it visually more attractive, it will entice users to either go blogging themselves or read someone else's blog.
Also, cite the most recent blogs, give users a snippet of the latest blog; practically a teaser of what's to expect inside. Blogs are perfect return user content, utilize it more. -> reposition and rethink blogging.
