How much time will I have to put into it?:

This site requires absolutely no work. I check on it once a week. Any work you do will only increase revenue. It requires little to no bandwidth. There are two downloads directly from the server. The other links are from people who volunteer their own servers as mirrors. I simply use those download links. Even if those links didn't exist you could simply host it on your own server with a cheap low bandwidth hosting service. AresClient.com is a simple one page money maker.


How Will I Make Revenue?:

The site revenue is pure advertisement. You could earn more adding popunders or CPM banners. People that visit this page are only looking for the download and the information it contains so adding popunders will barely affect it. I removed my adsense from the site, but there are 3 Banners and one adlink on the main page, there are also 2 Banners Per Screenshot you view. All the banners are in the perfect places (page hotspots) and they all return great eCPM.


About This Site:

The site is an information/download site for Ares Galaxy(http://www.aresgalaxy.org). It is a P2P Filesharing client for Windows. It is by far one of the most downloaded open source P2P clients on SourceForge.net.

The site gets it's normal daily traffic mainly from Google and other SEs. I am NOT the creator of the Ares Galaxy software, but I just loved the program so much I decided to spread the word about it. Ares Galaxy is free software.

People prefer this site becuase it's direct and to the point.


Site Value:

Right now since I want to sell this I am going to start bidding at $50 USD. Don't mistake that for desperation. I know how easy it would be to increase traffic on this site by simply using blogs forums, link exchanges etc. You could also add a few pages to increase pageviews. It's just too easy to make money with this site and I won't just give it away.

It's has also been great at driving traffic to my other sites. For those reasons I respectfully reject all lowball/backup offers in advance.

WHo do you host this with? Many hosting companies do not allow these type of sites per their TOS. Just curious how hard it is to keep hosting and what it costs?

Host with Godaddy, nearly no overhead, $10.00 USD a month. I get 10 Gig of Diskspace and 500 Gig of bandwidth. I've already trippled my cost in revenue, so it seems to have been a good buy. Also GoDaddy hasn't had a problem with the website yet.

There are absolutely no issues with the adsense. The reason my adsense is displaying blanks is because the adsense account in the code is an inactive account. If you add your adsense code from your account, it would work perfectly. You just have to make sure you use the right dimensions for the bannner sizes. You can see what the dimensions are if you view the source.

@ George : My adsense was deactivated because I guess I broke the TOS. I was handing out business cards locally asking people to help support my other sites by clicking the ads(I had multiple sites under one adsense account). It sucks because 95% of all the revenue was legit, I even paid for Adwords on a lot of those sites, blah. Well, Now I know not to do that again

The site itself isn't banned from google adsense, its just that My adsense account is deactivated.

AresClient.com was not the site I was breaking the TOS by promoting, it was just another one of my unfortunate sites that took a hit for being a part of the same adsense account.

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on
the Google ads on your site(s). We have therefore disabled your Google
AdSense account. Please understand that this step was taken in an
effort to protect the interest of the AdWords advertisers.

A publisher's site may not have invalid clicks on any ad(s), including
but not limited to clicks generated by:

Everything will work under a different adsense account (I already tried using a friends account). It isnt AresClient.com that google is worried about, its my account. You can rest assured about that.

I see the potential behind AresClient.com, if I wasn't in such a financial bind with other things outside of the WWW, I would just use another advertising service such as Fastclick or Casale. Losing adsense would be the least of my concerns with AresClient.com.


@ Boston_JM: My intentions are by no means to just "Dump it off." I'm just lost for time and money.


AresClient.com could be a great investment, honostly.
